A LETTER FROM THE 2009 CHAIRMAN

Welcome to the 2009 Aging Aircraft Conference. As in the previous 11 years, I anticipate this conference will bring together the brightest research minds from industry, government, and academia into one forum where ideas and solutions can be shared, debated, and cultured. This year’s conference will continue to address classic Aging Aircraft issues and expand its focus to include Continued Airworthiness and Mission Readiness concerns. As the conference matures, it continues to transform and adjust to meet new challenges. This year, new research topic areas will be introduced including General Aviation, and Aviation Safety. I hope each of you enjoys this conference and takes advantage of the unique opportunity to meet your colleagues and friends while discussing, debating, and learning about pertinent aviation issues and solutions. Looking forward to seeing you in Kansas City.
